Reports from Mission India (Week 2)

During week 2 (2002/02/05 - 2002/02/12), Julie and a YMG Team were in Gudiyattam, India.

2002/02/11

So much to tell you!  We just got back from Gudiyattam.  We saw over 700 people saved in the 3 nights we were there.  The Lord gave a powerful anointing and many, many people received healings.  Many with poor eyesight were healed, several deaf and dumb heard and spoke, all kinds of pains, headaches, etc. were healed.  A young woman I prayed for last night was doubled over, could not walk, and I prayed over her and we walked around the grounds together, and then she was walking by herself!  Glory to God!  We saw amazing and powerful deliverance from demonic forces.

By our count, over 1,100 people made commitments to Jesus in the crusades and other work here.  In Gudiyattam the crowds grew bigger each night.  Last night, there were a thousand people gathered, some sitting on the roof, some standing outside the gate, some on the steps of the Catholic church nearby, all listening intently.  I have never seen such spiritual hunger on the faces of people.  Jesus let His compassion reign and they pushed forward at the appeal.  Over 270 people came forward; in addition, nearly a hundred children prayed the sinners prayer.  God is faithful to us and salvation has come to Gudiyattam.

So many people got saved that they will have to start new churches.  The campaign more than doubled the number of believers there.

We were in some danger, but in a safe house.  It is a Muslim area and a Hindu area.  We were being watched everywhere.  God kept us safe and delivered us.

One little deaf-mute boy of three spoke for the first time in his life, his mother was crying, and she came the next night to give her heart to Jesus.  There is so much suffering here, we are leaving the wealth of God to them.  Thank everybody for their prayers.

I will leave here in a few hours and will email you once I am in the UK.  It has been a draining and difficult trip, but so electrifying seeing the hand of the Lord on us and through us.  Do give my greetings and love to Pastor Swint and the church.  I may try to call him when in the UK.

The team has excelled in everything, I am so grateful and proud of them.

Julie
