Crusade: To Reach the Lost

Julie and her team joined with others from the United States to take part in "The Great Gospel Crusade 2001." The event was held nightly in a slum area of Kampala called Kanyenya.  Julie preached for three evenings under the open sky and with a powerful anointing.  Though there were electrical power outages, God's power never failed -- hundreds heard the Gospel each night and responded for prayer.  Over 200 people made commitments to Christ.  Many told of their sicknesses and ailments being healed.  One man shared publicly how Jesus healed his paralyzed right arm.  Others testified that malarial symptoms had vanished after prayer from the team.

Others were delivered from oppression and demons.  Uganda, like many African countries, is plagued with witch doctors who thrive on the problems of destitute people.

A police officer came for prayer and was completely delivered from spirits which had tormented his mind, robbed him of sleep, and tortured his body.

We truly experienced the reality of Jesus' words in Luke 10:19 "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."

One evening over 30 children prayed the prayer of salvation together and were baptized in the Holy Spirit!  The picture here shows how the children were caught up in the moving of the Spirit.
