Reports from Mission India (Week 1)

During week 1 (2002/01/30 - 2002/02/05), Julie and a YMG Team were in Bangalore, India.

2002/02/01

We arrived safely, here on Wed. night.  A quick email, I will try again tomorrow.

Thank all for their prayer.  We had 65 saved at the campaign last night -- and a few more today.  We're getting ready for tonight's work.  We will do a pastor's school for a day on Tuesday: then go to Tamil Nadu (state) for a three day campaign next Wed.-Fri.

We are fine, thanking God, fighting the Lord's battles.

Give my regards to the church.  Keep praying we want to see more saved!!

This is the first time I have had another chance to email you.

The second night of the campaign in Bangalore a great anointing came from heaven.  There were many people streaming forward to accept Jesus.  Score Jesus 172, devils 0.

We had rain the third night and a much smaller crowd, but 29 came to Jesus.  The last night many people were delivered and I prayed for two alcoholics who were greatly delivered.

Over 350 have received Jesus.  We praise Him for His power and anointing.

Be sure to tell Pastor Swint the news.  We have had some healings here such as blind eyes seeing, deaf and dumb hearing and speaking, and lots of arthritis, wheezing, headaches, etc. healed.

We have had 2 pastor's meetings.  A small one on Monday, where the Holy Spirit came in as I preached, and the pastors asked us to pray for them, and the prophetic anointing came and it was powerful.

The second pastor's meeting was on Tuesday, with 125 pastors from all over the city.  Pastor Deena was astounded at the turnout because they usually only get 60 people or so.  There was a strong anointing on the team as we all spoke and the Holy Spirit moved!  I began with prophetic words for 4 pastors.  God used it to shake them out of their seats and pay attention to His messenger.  I preached with power as the Lord gave it -- and we had good ministry.

Yesterday we visited a school and prayed with 50 children to receive Jesus.

The church meetings have also gone well, I can tell you about it later.  Say hi to everybody for me, especially the Monday night prayer group and Pastor Swint.

We will be leaving here tomorrow morning, Friday, for Gudiyattam in Tamil Nadu, 5 hours drive to the east of Bangalore.  We will have a 3-night (Fri., Sat., & Sun.) campaign there in a hall, not a field, so please alert the intercessors.  We have had some opposition and demonic attacks while here but Jesus is so good to us and we are walking on the head of the enemy.

We are looking for greater things from Jesus for the next campaign in Gudiyattam.  Have the prayer people pray.

I don't know where we will be staying, I will do my best to let you know.
