South Pacific 2002 - Vanuatu Reports

Hostesses at a picnic by the seaWomen Matter To God

During the Women’s Conference, led by Carol Burstow, there were over 60 Baptisms in the Holy Spirit, over 40 healings and deliverances.  The women of the islands were excited and hungry to participate in the first ever inter-denominational women's conference.  The Lord blessed abundantly, as shown by these comments from the north Vanuatu women.

From the Island Women:

"I really enjoyed God’s Word coming through you as women.  It shows me how God can really use a woman to demonstrate his awesome power"

"I felt the power of the Holy Ghost upon me during the studies"

" I was greatly blessed by your teaching, especially in the area of forgiveness"

Carol Burstow reads from the WordPastor's Comments:

"Carol’s message molded the lives of the women and built them up. They now have a greater vision that just the home, they know they have a destiny now." Pastor Swithin Tagaro, Christian Outreach Centre

"It’s a big change to see the women helped.  They never have moved in the spirit before to such an extent… Carol is powerful, everyone loves her and the team." Pastor Jude Naru, Living Word United Ministries

"Carol’s teaching uplifted the women… now they will lift themselves out of themselves into the work of God." Timon Gao, Supt. of Christian Outreach Centre Churches on Santo

Women packed into the Vare to hear Bible teaching"I really appreciate what Julie has done in Vanuatu.  Some churches do not recognize women in ministry, and the churches have seen that a woman can do this.  They have actually seen it here, and it is very good." Pastor Guillaume Thyna, Sarakata, Santo
